Sometimes new music is like new cars. Sometimes the design team is so ahead of their time it takes time for the average consumers eye to catch up to their style. The same goes about music. Sometimes these artists are so ahead with their melodic designs it takes the average consumer at least a few days for their ears to get used to this new freshness. People may be quick to criticize or talk about these designs not realizing they may be jumping the gun, and may also realize that they might be the same people coming back and becoming a fan of these trend-setting designs.

We’ve posted a few classics, we got one more to go before we finally post some exclusive content. We couldn’t get started without this man being featured here. We realized that the songs we were posting were off of everybody’s debut album so we had to keep that going. Here’s the first single off 2Pac’s album 2Pacalypse Now. What’s really amazing to me is the fact that 2Pac dared to be different and came into the game with a completely different type of sibg. His debut single tackled the issue of teen pregnancy while showing his creative story telling skills. The song, the lyrics, and the message is deep and even today it remains important. Shout out to one of the best ever. Rest In Paradise to them all that passed too early.

Honestly when we hear this track, no matter how many times we hear it, this is one of those songs we can feel the lyrics deep every single time it plays. It personally takes me back to when I was a lot younger and I used to hear this and see the video so many times on the tv screen. This is truly a classic from one of the best to ever bless the mics. And if you don’t know now you know.

As we do, check out the little read behind the song, and it’s interesting to see the controversy that took place with one of our favorite producers here at shhdonthate.com, Pete Rock. If the alleged is true, it’s pretty sad. Regardless Pete Rock has a lot of classics that the mainstream hip hop world needs to get put on. We also put down the remix version that Pete Rock is credited with producing. Hit that button and check it out.
